OKX referral code: how to sign up and get trading fee cashback

Where to enter the OKX referral code, why it cannot be added after sign-up, which countries OKX does not serve, what to do if you already have an account, and how to link your UID to Trade Cashback.

Affiliate disclosure: the OKX sign-up link on this page belongs to Trade Cashback. We may earn a commission from eligible referrals and share part of the approved trading fees with you under our terms. Signing up alone does not create cashback or a bonus.

Where the OKX referral code is used

The OKX sign-up form has a Referral code (optional) field next to the email address. Our link opens an OKX invitation page that carries the same code you see in the box at the top of this page. That code is what links the new account to our affiliate relationship, and it is the only reason we can pay cashback.

Timing matters more on OKX than anywhere else. OKX's Referral Program FAQ says the code must be applied before sign-up is completed and cannot be added afterwards, and that the referral relationship usually cannot be changed once the account exists. Check the field before you press the final sign-up button.

On the web the field can be collapsed: expand Referral code (optional) and read what is in it. If it is empty, type the code from the box above. OKX lists signing up separately in the app, an earlier ad or partner link, and private browsing or cache as reasons a code may not fill in automatically.

Who can use OKX

OKX's Risk & Compliance Disclosure (updated 8 July 2026) lists restricted locations: Afghanistan, Canada, Cuba, Hong Kong, Iran, India, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, North Korea, Syria, Uzbekistan, certain US jurisdictions and all US territories, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. Some products are limited elsewhere: for example derivatives in the UK, Brazil, South Korea and Australia, and fiat payments in Russia.

Some countries are served by separate OKX companies, such as OKX Europe in the EEA and OKX TR in Türkiye, with their own terms and affiliate programs. Our link is for OKX's global platform. We do not show the referral link or code where it does not apply, and we do not accept UIDs from residents of those countries. Do not use a VPN or a different country of residence to get around these limits.

Signing up on the web with the referral link

  1. 1Open the OKX button on this page and check that you land on okx.com.
  2. 2Choose your real country or region of residence and read the Terms of Service, Risk and Compliance Disclosure and Privacy Notice.
  3. 3Enter your email address, expand Referral code (optional) and check that it shows the code from the box above. Only then select Sign up.
  4. 4Enter the email verification code, then add your phone number with the right country code and verify it. Set a strong password and turn on two-factor authentication.
  5. 5Complete the identity verification OKX asks for. Opening an account does not mean every product or campaign is available in your country.
  6. 6Copy your UID from your profile, sign in to Trade Cashback and send a link request for OKX.

You never need to send Trade Cashback your exchange password, login codes, identity documents or API keys. The setup guide covers the account and UID steps in more detail.

Signing up in the OKX app

OKX's official sign-up guide shows the same steps in the app: choose your country or region, accept the terms, then enter your email and the referral code before you sign up. Only install the app from OKX's own download page or a verified store listing.

  • If you opened our link in a browser and then switched to the app, the code may not carry over. Read the field and type the code yourself if it is empty.
  • If the field shows a different code, stop and ask support before you finish. OKX will not let you change it later.
  • Do not create a second account to fix a wrong code. OKX's FAQ says opening another account to change a referral code is prohibited, and deleting an account does not reset the relationship.

Referral code, cashback and OKX promotions are different things

What you seeWhat it meansWhat it does not prove
The referral code on the formThe invitation code that links your new account to our affiliate relationshipA fixed fee discount or a cashback payment on its own
Trade Cashback rateThe share of eligible, approved trading fees our service pays backThat OKX's standard fee schedule has changed
OKX welcome promotionsFee discounts, yield offers or rewards OKX runs for new usersThat they apply in your country, or that the headline figure becomes withdrawable cash

The invitation page may advertise fee discounts or high yields for new users. Read the conditions, deadlines and eligible regions on OKX. This guide does not present OKX's campaign figures as guaranteed returns.

Check the cashback with a worked example

Assume 100,000 USDT of filled futures volume at OKX's 0.05% standard taker fee: 100,000 × 0.05 ÷ 100 = 50 USDT in fees. If all of those fees are eligible and a 40% example cashback rate applies, the refund is 50 × 0.40 = 20 USDT, and your net fee is 30 USDT.

These are assumptions to check the math, not a fee quote for your account. If only 25 USDT of the fees are eligible, the same 40% gives 10 USDT. Maker orders, VIP tiers and promotions change the fee you pay. Do not calculate the refund from your trading volume or your deposit.

Check your fee schedule on OKX's fee page and our current rate on the OKX cashback page. Enter your own volume in the fee calculator. Funding, spread and slippage are not part of this example.

If you already have an OKX account

Because OKX does not let you add a code after sign-up, an existing account needs a separate route. OKX lets affiliates invite existing users: you open an invitation link from our support in a browser, sign in, enter our invitation code and a reason, and submit the request.

OKX reviews these requests daily. Eligible accounts are reconnected within 24 hours and get a system notification; accounts that do not qualify are told so as soon as they open the link. OKX does not publish all the criteria, so do not assume your account qualifies. Start from the OKX setup page and choose the existing-account path.

Linking OKX to Trade Cashback

  1. 1In OKX, open your profile. The UID is shown as your account ID, an 8 to 10 digit number next to your avatar.
  2. 2Create your Trade Cashback account or sign in.
  3. 3On the link an exchange screen, pick OKX, choose your country of residence and send your UID for review.
  4. 4Wait for the relationship and the eligible fees to be confirmed. A pending request is not an approved cashback balance.

Sign-up, UID review and payout are three separate stages. Once you have a withdrawable balance, the payout terms and the minimum request amount apply. Do not trade more than you otherwise would just to earn cashback: trading losses can be larger than any fee refund.

Sources and review date

Trade Cashback prepared this guide on 20 October 2026 and checked the same day that our link opens an OKX invitation page carrying the referral code. The official sources below describe the sign-up fields, the referral rules and the countries OKX serves; they do not verify our own payout offer.

Fee rates are taken from each exchange's official schedule on the date of publication and can change without notice. Nothing here is investment advice. Trade Cashback earns an affiliate commission on trades placed through its links, and returns most of it to you as cashback.
